FilzFelt carries German 100% wool design felt available for upholstery, product, vertical surface and floor covering applications in 58 Pantone-Matching System (PMS) colors and five thicknesses. Colors
Please download our color guide and pricelists to view our full line of 100% wool design felt or request a swatch book for your library. Colors 100 Wollweiß, 110 Rohweiß, 150 Weiß, 160 Beige, 170 Asche, 175 Graphit, 200 Natur, 250 Trüffelbraun and 300 Anthrazit are undyed and natural. Other colorways are produced by dyeing 100 Wollweiß to produce the uni (solid) felts or 150 Weiß to produced the melange (heathered). Minor changes and slight inclusions of natural fiber on the surface are evidence of the 100% natural origin of the material.
Width
FilzFelt goods are approximately 70¾ in (180 cm) wide for 2mm – 5mm thicknesses, 63 in (160 cm) for 8mm and 10mm and 35" for adhesive-backed.
Full Bolt
A full bolt includes 24-27 linear yards (22-25 linear meters) for 2mm – 5mm thickness and 17-19 linear yards (16-18 linear meters) for 8mm and 10mm.
Stock and Special Order Colors
FilzFelt stocks a number of quickship colors in Boston, USA however all other colors are available by special order. Special order colors require a 5 linear yard minimum of each color.

Minimum: 27.34 linear yards (25 linear meters) however some 5mm colors may be available
Lead Times
Orders of fewer than 10 linear yards of quickship colors ship from Boston, USA (depending on availability) within 3 business days of order placement. Larger quantities, out-of-stock and special order colors ship from Germany and have a 6-8 week lead time via sea freight or a 2-3 week lead time via air. Expedited shipping is available at additional cost and the customer is responsible for all shipping costs which will be provided at time of invoicing
Flammability
FilzFelt felts have undergone ASTM E84 Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials testing for architectural finish applications. Undyed (natural) wool felts carry a Class B rating (unadhered) and dyed wool felts a Class A rating (unadhered). Complete test results are available upon request.
Custom Colors
Many of our felt colors have been dyed to match the Pantone Matching System (PMS). However, not all colors in the Pantone system (or the universe) are available. Custom colors require an 82 linear yard minimum for single colored felts and 200 linear yard minimum for bi-color felts. There will be a 6-8 week lead time from time of sample approval and expedited shipping is available at additional cost.
Custom Fabrication
FilzFelt can work with your company to produce custom designs and products. Because it’s a non-woven textile, wool felt can be cut in any shape or size and the edges left raw without any finishing. We can assist designers in custom cutting and fabricating virtually any size, shape or design for a range of applications. Capabilities (either in-house or through our established network of manufacturers) include:
