Dee and Charles Wyly Theater
Client: Emily Summers Design for REX/OMA, Joshua Prince-Ramus, Rem Koolhaas
Location: Dallas, TX
Large-scale 3mm- and 5mm-thick movable felt panels were cut by CNC precision cutting and hung from a ceiling-mounted track system in this newly constructed performance theatre designed by REX/OMA. Varying in size from eight to twenty feet tall, the multicolored panels were created by stacking two layers of 3mm felt and incorporate perforated patterning. Inspired by the Wyly theater, FilzFelt now offers Wool Felt Perforated Panels for purchase.
