Rille is a Groovy Acoustic Panel System

May 27, 2020

Rille is an acoustic panel system that’s easy on the budget but still does plenty of sound absorption heavy lifting. German for ‘groove’, Rille is the term used to describe the channels on the moon’s surface. Rather than take the patterning up and into space, v-grooves are cut into the felt and acoustic substrate revealing the substrate below. By repeating these linear grooves at varied dimensions, interesting patterning is created and invisible panel seaming makes sure that the patterning can go on and on.
