Natural, Renewable, Recycled
Wool felt, cork, leather, and wood all get their start in nature and are renewable resources, but we don’t stop there. We pair our natural materials with acoustic substrates made of post-consumer recycled materials that can be recycled again.
Biodegradable + Compostable
100% Wool Design Felt is a nonwoven textile made from sheep’s wool, water, and plant-based textile dyes, making it biodegradable with the ability to be commercially composted.
Low to No VOCs
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are not used in the production of 100% Wool Design Felt, and it meets VOC test limits for the CDPH v1.2 method.
What We Know, You Know
Compliance with material ingredient disclosures in Declare Labels mean complete transparency of what is in our materials and products. In addition, HPD (Health Product Declarations) are available for most of our products.
We’re Practically Neighbors
Though our natural materials are harvested and manufactured farther afield, all our architectural products are manufactured in the Northeast, meaning that we’re within a 500-mile radius of Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, New York City, Montréal, Philadelphia, Toronto, and Washington DC.
Reduce and Be Better
With an alignment with our parent company, MillerKnoll, we are working on reducing the carbon footprint from our products and operations and reducing single-use plastics by 50 percent. We’re also focused on adding more biodegradable or recycled materials that are responsibly and sustainably produced.
Landfill Free, Yippee!
We’re completely landfill free and resell or donate all remnants and scrap material from our wool felt architectural product manufacturing. We reuse shipping materials and recycle all cardboard and paper at our manufacturing facilities.
Shipping Without the Waste
Crates and packing materials from incoming shipments are reused for customer shipments whenever possible to reduce waste. And we recycle all cardboard at our facilities.
Third Party Certifications
Our 100% Wool Design Felt and Akustika 10 substrate have been Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified Product Class II and are Living Building Challenge Criteria Red List Free.
