For the offices at Apogee Therapeutics in San Francisco, an organization that develops novel therapies for a range of inflammatory diseases, Kristen Peña Interiors turned to nature to create a calming atmosphere for patients and staff. Mountains were a guiding motif for the overall design, aiming to balance warmth and sophistication while moving away from the clinical, sterile aesthetics typical of healthcare spaces.

Large Grain panels line the spaces of conference rooms, offices, and patient waiting areas and feature natural textures paired with earthy tones that connect the design of the space to the surrounding California landscape. Private work areas also feature Grain panels with custom-cut silhouettes that echo the curves of rooms and rounded furniture.
