Felt Panels Surround Cutting Edge Technology with Nature

At the 65,000 square-foot comprehensive outpatient cancer treatment center in Greenville, South Carolina, McMilian Pazdan Smith’s design incorporates natural and durable finishes including wood, stone, glass and concrete to connect the inside to the outside. To foster an empowering and comfortable experience for patients and their families, these natural elements soften an environment filled with cutting edge (and sometimes loud) medical technology. Line 2 Hanging Panels in natural grey and soft green are installed directly adjacent to a CT scanner in the training simulation area and have the added benefit of acoustic dampening. These panels, which seem to surround the patient with nature, are fixed in place on a single-channel Hanging Panel Track System.
