At Troy Boston, a new apartment building in Boston’s South End, over,under was commissioned to design a model unit in collaboration with a local furniture store, Lekker. The small size of the unit necessitated that furnishings and elements be flexible. The space is orchestrated around a trio of low surfaces (bed, couch, table) that sponsor multiple uses. Furniture and accessories in a chromatic spectrum of greys work in tandem with the exposed concrete ceiling and light finishes throughout the unit. A Medium Circle Floor Mat in 200 Natur ties into the neutral color scheme and the circling artwork while providing a cozy landing pad that welcomes residents home. Situating a round rug in the room makes even a diminutive space feel expansive.
